XENIX 386GT asks for serial no/activation code twice:
1. After the 'making filesystems...' message
2. After the request to insert the N2 diskette

It's not like all Xenix incantations are identical.
You also might wanna disclose your hardware. That's because Xenix has
some rather severe hardware limitations that are often exceeded and
will cause problems. For example, it will only address 16MBytes of
RAM, 1GB of hard disk, no PCI, no USB, and no ATA-xx HD support.
utilities needed to prepare the hard disk. When it asks you to reboot
after setting up the filesystems and copying a few files, it does NOT
demand that you leave the N1 disk in place. It asks you to kindly
remove the disk. The installation will then boot from the hard disk
and demand the B1 disk. You can consider yourself finished with the
B1 disk as it will boot and run as is. However, if you want the usual
collection of programs and utilities that come with Xenix, run
"custom" and install X1 thru X4 disks. Also, don't forget the games
disk.
serial number and unlocking code. I think it was just after the
reboot, but I'm not sure.

I am trying to install an old copy of SCO Xenix 386 but the docs are
confusing.
Would it be too much trouble for you to disclose the version number?confusing.

After going through the N1 and N2 disks and setting up the
filesystem, the install asks me to Reboot but to leave the N1 disk in
the drive. Upon rebooting and pressing <CR> at the boot: prompt, I am

If I insert the N2 disk, it just takes me through the initial install
again. I AM STUCK IN A LOOP!
Read the screen. It says REMOVE the N1 disk.again. I AM STUCK IN A LOOP!
Perhaps it is asking for another disk or perhaps I need better Docs.
What an I do to get this installed and get to the screen that asks for
the serial/activation?
